Named as the new MD for The District of Dunchurch Brass.
Helga Studied music in Birmingham and Zurich. Has a Master's degree in music from the University of Birmingham. Has conducted bands at Coleford, Fairford and Nailsworth. Also involved in editing Gilbert & Sullivan operas for the American music publisher Broude Brothers Ltd. Currently playing percussion at Jaguar Land Rover Band and Worcester Philharmonic Orchestra.
Our out going M.D Mr Gary Smallwood, suggested that we approach Helga to take over the baton of which she was delighted to. We thank Gary for his work with the band over the last five years since formation, and he will now take a playing position within the band.
The band are very much looking forward to working with Helga and hopefully other playing positions being filled in the near future.
